The Voice That Owns The Stage
Lina Ánh Liên has been hosting Vietnamese-American stages since 2013: New Year countdowns, Tết festivals, Mother’s Day and Valentine’s concerts, casino showrooms and community fundraisers. She has shared the bill with many of the community’s best-loved singers, and she has hosted in Orange County, San Diego, Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nevada and Montréal.
Couples know her for weddings. She hosts the whole evening in English and Vietnamese at once, introduces both families with every name right, and keeps the room moving from the grand entrance to the last dance.
She Sings, Too
Lina is a singer as well as a host. At weddings she can take the microphone for a first-dance song, a song for the parents, or a number to open the dance floor, in English, Vietnamese or Spanish. Her covers and live performances are on her YouTube channel.
